Yes, all staff are subject to biao an enhanced disclosure with the Criminal Records Bureau
Prior to commencing employment all staff are required to complete a comprehensive employment application form which includes health conditions, experience and knowledge. Following an in-depth interview they will be asked to supply references to cover a 5 year biao period, one of which must be from their last employer. At this point we also apply for a Criminal Records Check. Before commencing work they will undergo a thorough induction training which includes all mandatory training - moving and handling training, Medication awareness, basic first aid and many more . After induction they will spend time with a senior member of staff “shadowing” them in the community. This training period is used to evaluate their suitability for the role.
Yes, the staff should always have their identification card with them and we advise our customers not to let them in without it.
Details of our compliments and complaints procedure are detailed in our service User Guide. If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service we would encourage you to contact your local office either by phone or in writing to inform them of the cause of concern.
If your care is organised via the local authority or authority they will inform you of any costs that they may ask you to pay as a contribution towards the cost of your care. If you are a private customer the full details of all costs will be contained within the service agreement that is drawn up when you sign up as one of our customers.
Yes we do, and unlike most places it is run between the office staff therefore you know whom to expect on the telephone when you call.
Experience is preferred however full training will be given to those that prove they have life experiences.

Our 'in house' trainer possesses professionally recognised qualifications ensuring best practice procedures are adhered to throughout.Courses are held at the Carepath office. Some courses are mandatory as part of induction and require to be updated annually. Courses available: Distance learning modules - Loss & Bereavement, Fire safety, Health & safety, Safeguarding of children, Safeguarding of adults, Food & nutrition, Infection control. Mandatory training – People moving & handling, Medication awareness, First aid at work (HSE approved), Skills 4 care. We also offer NVQ / QCF programmes as well as other training such as Peg feed, Dementia awareness & more.
Yes, there is a charge of £48.00 however your CRB is then valid for 2 years and renewed free of charge.
Yes as soon as an application pack is sent to you we will arrange a time to meet face to face for an interview and see your documents, I.D and certificates for example.
We would need to have your enhanced CRB check back, references covering the last 5 years and all of your I.D, proof of address and certificates. Once these have been received then you will be booked onto your induction training, once completed then you will be able to start work.
